Rank & Awards
Rank in the 12th SS is earned by attendance, contribution and performance.  All new members
enter the 12th SS as an SS-Panzergrenadier (Private).  It is up to them how fast they want to
achieve rank and responsibility.  The 12th SS will always maintain a realistic balance of
rank.  Officer and NCO positions will be appointed when they are needed by the Unit
Commanders Committee.
SS-Unterscharfuhrer & Above (Squad Sergeant & Above) After 45 events.  Like
the SS-Rottenfuhrer, this position is appointed by the Unit Commanders
Committee.  The rank of SS-Unterscharfuhrer and above is very demanding and
as a result will take up a great deal of time and effort.  The above criteria is
increased greatly and the positions must be filled by men with very strong
attendance records, outstanding enthusiasm and talented leadership abilities.
SS-Scharfuhrer (Platoon Sergeant)
SS-Oberscharfuhrer (Company Sergeant)
The award system in the 12th SS recognizes members for their achievements on and off the
battlefield.  The awards are the same as the WWII decorations and when possible are
awarded for similar actions as in wartime.  Members who meet the following criteria are
authorized to wear the appropriate badges on their wool tunics in the proper place.
Under
no circumstances is a member to wear an unearned decoration without expressed
permission from the Unit Commanders Committee.
All decorations can be original or an
